If you going to do a reinstall:

Move your hard drive that Windows 7 will be installed on to SATA port 1.

Go HDD Boot Priority in the bios, press enter and make sure the first drive is the one in SATA port 1.

Follow these two tutorials for RE-installation of Windows 7.

This will take a while, but its worth it.

Do you have Acronis products installed?

No, but I am familiar with their products. I have used them before.

bump, just realized that repair install is impossible. Might have to do a clean install if its even possible with no partitions

Acronis isn't the culprit this time - hiding drives from other apps. (including windows) is a known issue with the Acronis snapman driver.


If the windows installer is unable to see the drive, try booting a partition manager and recreating partitions with that.

I was doing that this morning before I had classes and work. I never did get to see the end result of that though. I'll let you know when I get home
