Display driver stops responding

I did it. I even formatted my C: and reinstalled Windows. So it's a completely new install with no old drivers.
I tried the Furmark test again. At about 74 °C glitches start to appear on the screen, but only for a partial second. Then at around 84 °C the screen freezes and the best case scenario is an autorestart. Or I have to press Reset.
I start to think that the nVidia guys just didn't pay enough attention to my GPU and did not increase the heat enough.
Could it be a cooling problem? These cards should work without any problem at 100 °C, shouldn't they?

EDIT: I tried a Furmark test right after the last CTD. I removed the side panel of my whatever - the casing which holds all the hardware together - is called in English (sorry, I just can't remember ^^') for better cooling, but not it crashed when it reached only 75 °C

I'm gonna go with a bad card. I would tell nVidia what you've done and what you've seen (i.e low temps and still crashes, artifacts, etc) and ask that they replace the card.
