Display Freezes When Idle

For some reason, if I leave my PC idle (as in not asleep) for a while the screen will be frozen for a short time when I come back. The cursor will move, but it won't be able to click on anything. It will do this for a short time before locking up completely (not moving) and then a few seconds later everything goes back to normal. This gets annoying real quick. Sometimes a message comes up saying something happened with the display, but I've never bothered to read it. It can't be a virus because I use Trend Micro, so I have no clue what's causing this.

Bump. I could use some help here.

Now I know that you don't think that Trend Micro is the source of your problem, BUT...Disable Trend Micro and see if the problem still occurs.

I really don't want to delete a program I just paid a subscription for. Any other ideas?

Have you tried going to the manufacture website of your PC and getting the latest display drivers?

I have not. I'll try that and let you know.

Okay, I just used Driver Whiz and it said my display driver is up-to-date. However, it identified my PC as the wrong model and the correct one wasn't listed.
