I just bought a new laptop for my uncle and am unable to connect to my internet via WiFi OR ethernet. When I run the diagnostics it tells me the dns server is not responding. Settings are to automatically connect to dns servers. I have tried changing them to a couple of addresses i have found online and have had no luck. I have many other devices in my household that have no problem connecting to the internet service. I have also run across advice to remove/disable a wireless miniport adapter, which i not found so I am assuming that isnt my issue.

I have comcast, a motorola modem/router, and the laptop is a Dell. The operating system in Windows 7 x64. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am so frustrated at this point.
