Do not understand Thunderbolt boards

Sorry for the confusion mate, you can use any GPU you like in either board. I was referring to the extra support for the built-in GPU in the Deluxe board for 3D monitors. I think that GTX660 would do you well.

No probs mate I sorta guessed that is what you meant but I think the Thunderbolt cos you need devices with that capability or so it looks like to me means just extra expense and well I move at turtles pace now and couldn't keep up with it

I think you can use thunderbold w/ older devices... Thunderbold is just a matter of being able plugin multiple devices on same port without any loss of power.

Thanks Dallas that is quite a good site and I saw it was updated daily which I reckon is such a good feature when most of that sort of stuff is not that recent.

Surprised to see AMD CPU's doing so well although that Xeon is something else - but a terrible price way out of my league.

Oh, I forgot to mention that Thunderbolt cables are really expensive as well......on Newegg they start at about $42 and go up from there!

Same for Thunderbolt devices, such as monitors and external HDDs (look a few up if you like sticker shock). Thunderbolt compatible devices have to be used to be able to daisy chain them. A Displayport device can be run on a Displayport cable at the end of the daisy chain. Also, a single Displayport compatible device can be run on a Displayport cable plugged into the Thunderbolt port on the MOBO.

Well I will not be Thunderbolting then cos the US prices knock the socks off what we pay here at least 20% more
