Solved Does Dream scene software overheats the Graphics Card ...

Is Dream scene a safe software for Windows 7 or a gaming PC ...

By safe i mean , does it makes a Graphics card overheat.Since it will be constantly running a a desktop background.

I have a Gaming PC with 16 GB ram and a 2gb Nvdia gtx 960 GB Graphics Card.So,i wanted to have some cool animated wallpapers for many time.

But i am conscious as if it will make my Graphics Card overheat ...

Hello fahadhum what makes you think that this particular program will or does make your GPU overheat?

Have you got anything overclocked for example and just how old is the GPU and what are the temps on it. If you are not overclocking and the machine is running at stock speeds then I am inclined to think the GPU thermal compound may need reapplying.

If you want to check out the GPU the Furmark test will give the device a good workout but if you do use it be there for when it is running in case it des get overheated.

I do not have an overclocked GPU.And nor do i keep a check on my Temp's.That is precisely why i am asking , if Dream-scene overheats anything in a gaming system.

I do not own an Alien-ware or like Dell XPS gaming system.This is an assembled system that was created as per my demands by the shop Tech guy.And also i am not a really knowledgeable guy when it comes to the technicalities.

That is why i am curious as to , having a dream-scene wallpaper will overheat anything.

I am so conscious of my GPU to not overheat that i do not even run these temp power tests as they bump up the card to it's max to check it's speed .I know it is silly

i bought my RIG some years ago.like 3 ..And i have not applied any Thermal paste or similar.I just installed a Corsair Liquid Fan and i have been playing games for hours and hours on this.

The casing is by Corsair ..And i just clean the dust once every 2 weeks.

That is precisely why i am asking , if Dream-scene overheats anything in a gaming system.

Well the only thing I can think of is that maybe the Dream software makes the GPU work hard just like the Furmark test. It might be an idea to have a look at a YouTube that shows how Furmark works to see what I mean.

I have decided not to use Dream Scene.I want to stay safe and not tempted with those animated Wallpapers.

My regular themes and wallpapers will do fine.

Probably the best choice if you are not wanting to wreck the system or at least take on board a lot of grief.
