I finally managed to get it installed. What I did was overwrite two empty folders that were registering in the SUR log with correctly popuated files that were extracted from the Win7 ultimate DVD. I first gained ownership of only those two folders, added the new ones, overwrote what was already there, re-ran the system rediness tool, restarted, and tried windows update. It finally installed. The files that were giving me the problem are:
