I migrated to a new machine using easy transfer. I copied my files (user and data) to a hard drive that I installed in my new machine. I copied everything back and it all worked fine. Over time (the last year) I have altered my config and even wiped the OS and did a clean install. My problem is I would like to move some data files out of the Mig configuration to a useable format, but when I try to use easy transfer, it wants to bring over the user files as well to my c:. The problem with this is I have a very small c: that just has the os on it. Easy transfer wants to bring over 57 GB of user and system files that I don't want, and won't fit on the drive. The program will not allow me to choose another drive (other than c
or not bring the system and user files over. It will not allow me to bring the files I want without these. I am not sure if I can recover these files (mostly pictures and music). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
