so I get a new computer and want to transfer my data files from old computer date files hard drive to the new computer hard drive designated only for data, not OS.
I have Free File sync I use for cross drive transfer on old computer. is that good for transfer to new computer?
My old USB is 2.0
I probably could just put my old data hard drive into the new computer I suppose that might be easiest way but cannot tell if I can add a hard drive to the new computer a dell 8930 (which comes with an SSD and a 1TB disc drive)
How much data if it's under 15 gig you could use Google drive or ms one drive it makes it very simple. The problem will be the old files will be owned by the sid of the old PC so you will need to take ownership before you can copy them it doesn't happen if you use Google drive
