download for my Lifecam 3.60 won't install

I decided to install a Microsoft Lifecam 3.60 web cam I've had for sometime. It shows up in device manager, and I checked for an update on the drivers, and it stated it has the latest drivers install. Went on the net and downloaded the app the day before I decided to install it. . Went into my download folder, and clicked on run and it started the install. Then it stopped and a screen popped up stating "Set up could not complete downloading and installing files to your computer, due to a problem with your network or internet connection". According to the app it had finished downloading the day before I decided to go ahead and install it, and never closed out my browser. Ideas ?

Welcome to the forum a lot of software will contain a setup which then tryr to download the files it needs is it compatable with win7 you may have to run the install in compatabilty mode or as admin

Thanks for the input. I tried both compatibility mode and as admin, but still have the problem. I just need to be patient, and sooner or later the glitch will be solved I'm sure It's strange that it will start installing but then stops and it says it stopped because of a problem with my network or internet connection. I make sure I'm on the internet, so that's what has me baffled.

try temporarily suspending your AV, only if the download came Directly from HP.
