When I download the latest WLMM, is it possible to keep my Windows Live Mail ( I believe it's 2009 ).....or am I "forced" to use a more recent Windows Live Mail program ?
I thought I had ONLY checked off the Movie Maker, but my e-mail program changed too.

So.....what's the latest version of WLMM I can install without updating my e-mail program......I believe that the recent versions 2010 & later ? state that the e-mail program is automatically updated.

Thanx, Jerry.
BTW....the e-mail program still automatically updates to whatever it is now......not the end of the world.
I'll have plenty of questions about editing soon......I didn't have much luck all week trying to trim video clips with a previous version of MLMM.

OK.....this is where I'm at right now: it seems that that if I want to keep Windows Live Mail 2009 ( I prefer their simplier interface ) and WLMM.....I believe I can't have any WLMM later than 2010......that's OK.
So.....this is what happens after many attempts: I want to trim out all the music parts in an 80 min ? performance....I should end up with about a dozen clips ( 3 to 5 mins each ). The easiest way for me, is to keep splitting the entire video file until I have each piece separated. I wanted to save each clip (with a caption/name of the song ) in a folder on my desktop. When I save the file as a 720p clip, it ends up on my desktop with the beginning part ( that I cut out ) still in tact........frustrating as hell after a dozen attempts. I wanted all the clips edited so I could piece them together later......what happened ???
