[SOLVED]Driver IRQL Not Less or Equal BSOD

Lately I've been having all the games on my computer crash within about 2-3 minutes of starting them, and sometimes I get a Driver IRQL Not Less or Equal BSOD in place of a crash. I had two of these BSOD's last week, and all of them seem to be followed by a Page Fault in Non-Paged Area BSOD. I've ran Memtest 86+ to make sure there's no fault with my ram, and they cleared 3 passes, and chkdsk shows no errors either. BlueScreenView reports that the Driver IRQL error is associated with a USBPORT.sys driver, and the Page Fault BSOD is associated with a msahci.sys driver.

Hi Barman42. :)

As you are having multiple bugchecks with multiple probable causes, the first thing that you should do is to test your RAM modules for possible errors.
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

Let us know the result.

I've done the memtest and haven't received any errors. However I did forget that I OC'd my cpu to 4.2ghz a few weeks ago, went in and dropped that down to 4.0 and I haven't had a single crash since.

Good! Let us know for any further BSOD.

Also, if you think that the present issue is solved, please mark it as solved.
