driver needed for dell latitude d600

I found this post while searching for wifi drivers for the D600. So maybe someone else will get help from it too.

I was able to get it working by downloading "wireless_7.1.4.7_generic_125891" from Intel's site. The installation wouldn't work by running it but when I went into devmgmt.msc, found the wireless NIC, and used the driver update wizard from that, it worked.

Thanks for the link, but i tried that ages ago. The display driver from dell doesnt work with windows 7, the max resolution you get is 800x600 (1024x768 would be ok, but i prefer the native of 1280x1024)

I am running Win7 on D600 with 1400x1050 resolution using Generic Std VGA adapter just fine...
Straight default installation from DVD as well.

Only device driver issue was the Sigma Tel C-major sound card driver.

Grab the XP driver from Dell (r90698), unpack it to a default drive, then "Update Driver..." from Device Mngr to point to the unpacked folder.
Works like a charm.
