Hello everyone and thank you in advance for reading this thread,

I have BSOD situation for a while. When I hibernate or put my computer asleep and leave this mode my computer freeze for a while before showing of a BSOD with driver power state faillure. I have windows 8 sometime it start freezing rightaway or sometime It happens like 10 sec later (after logging with my password). It bug also when I restart my computer the clean way. I first decided to solved this issue by doing a refresh of the system (I don't if it's the proper word as I and my window8 are French). It implies that all the softwares I have installed were erased but my files were saved. It might not have been my smartest move as it didn't change anything ....

I have run a whocrashed and it tells me that the issue come from a kernel &system :

On Sat 31/05/2014 15:18:22 GMT your computer crashed

Hi there,

Try updating your Intel rapid storage technology driver,

Code:
start end module name
fffff880`016e5000 fffff880`019af000 iaStorA (deferred)

There is a newer version here,

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download K56CM

Under the others tab.

Have you tried updating your OS?

Code:
Microsoft Windows 8
Version du systŠme: 6.2.9200 N/A version 9200

Configuration du systŠme d'exploitation: Station de travail autonome
Type de version du systŠme d'exploitation: Multiprocessor Free
Propri‚taire enregistr‚: Windows User

I only see a few updates installed. Have you tried updating to 8.1?

Hi again,

I have installed the updates for the proc, the name of the pack was Chipset_Intel_Win8_64_Z9301021 so I imagine it was the one you were talking about although it did look that new. Has i put my computer asleep and tried to restart it, it failled. This time the computer didn't even make a dump file of the event.

I have run driverscanner that says that I have a lot of old drivers (18) among which there is a majority of intel drivers related to the framework... where can I find good updates for my drivers.

I have been working on updating my OS and it's a real source of despair: it takes ages (like more than 10 hours), and I haven't finished yet). I'm just updating windows 8, i didn't have the chance yet to upgrade to 8.1.

I'm considering reseting totally my computer to factory mode, do you thing this could solve the issue?

Best regards,

Térence

That's not the driver I was talking about, you have to select windows 8 64bit, then towards the bottom is "Other" and it's the first one, Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver

We don't recommend driver scanner programs, they usually cause more harm than good.

Didn't you just do a reset? Your first post mentions that. Just install the driver I was talking about, forget the driver scanner.

Then try finishing windows updates.

Hi,

Alright, so I have installed the intel rapid storage technology driver you indicated, I updated my windows (although I didn't update to 8.1) but the BSOD remains when resuming from sleeping mode.

I have made a new analysis with the software provided on the forum after my computer crashed.

I have run the drivers analysis from intel website to find some new update but I haven't installed all of them yet.

Does this new analysis tell you more about my issue?

Thanks in advance,

Térence

Yes, this new analysis tells me that it is the same driver,

What are the drivers being offered from the Intel scan? Is one of them a rapid storage driver?

I see quite a few more updates have been installed, getting closer.

Hi,

I have put what intel scan utility tells me about my driver, I don't see any reference to Intel rapid storage technology. I'm going to make my computer crash to create a new report again, it might help.
