driver problems

i have a toshiba satellite a300-15c laptop which had vindows vista. i got windows 7 a month
ago. i did a clean install o win 7 and everything was ok. after two days of installation my keyboard suddenly stopped working. i restart the system and a have problem with the graphic card, touch pad and keyboard. i opened the device manager and saw that there was problem with vga (ati radeon 3650) and touch pad on port ps/2. i upgraded all the drivers, istalled them again from toshiba website. the problem remains. this moment i posting there is no problem, but if i restart my system one or two times or if i stuff it off and start it sfter a while the problem exists! i hope you you see the issue

Marius, Have you tried a repair install yet? Do you get a blue screen at any point? if it does BSOD follow ZigZags advice and post the dump file for our crash experts to decipher , What are the CPU and GPU temperatures are they high ? If you have more then 1 stick of ram take one out and see if you still get the same prob, then try the other stick

i did repair install and the problems remains!... i don't have problem with blue screen. cpu and gru temp are normal. this problem had anonther guy too, here is his post:serious problem with Windows 7 on Toshiba A300 hi every one ... I have a TOSHIBA satellite A300 Laptop (with originally Vista window version) after I install a fresh Windows 7 version on my laptop and after downloading all necessary drivers I have this problems :

sometimes when I turn on the laptop ... the resolution is automatically set to 800X600 and both the touch pad and keyboard are not working ( freeze) then after I restart it ... every thing back normally ...

and also my friend have the same problem with his laptop (also TOSHIBA Satellite .... but another model) .

Sounds to me as if this particular laptop can't run Windows 7, how much RAM is installed ? If it was me and you keep having these problems with 7 just stick with Vista, that's what the machine came with so there shouldn't be any problems running with that, if there are then it needs returning to the place you bought it as it's faulty.

i don't have problem running windows vista.. but i know windows 7 is better that's why i bought it and i gave 110 euros. but i cannot enjoy win 7, i have been trying to fix the problem since 20th augoust!!! toshiba technical support crew told me i need to pay 60 euros to have win 7 installed! i'm afraid neither them can find a solution. Also i contact the sales manager of the store i got win 7 and told he cannot take back my win 7 as i have already activated win 7. is this true or bullshits??

What the retailer says is true ,If you have already used the product key , then that is your personal key ,to be used by you on one PC at a time .
Zonealarmis a security / anti viral prog which may but not always cause problems, did you try running with 1 stick of ram ?

i need to reduce my ram in order to run win 7? why i have to do this? i don't think it helps..

I think what pepply means is that it will show if the sticks are working, trying to use one at a time will show if there are problems with the RAM sticks or the slots.

i don't think it's hardware issue.. when i double click the computer icon i see that the installed memory is 3 giga (total memory of system) correct?
