Dual Boot Problem with windows 8

Why are you the only one who can't reinstall by booting a DVD? You either set the DVD drive first to boot in BIOS setup or trigger it using the one-time BIOS Boot Menu key at boot. If it won't boot burn another using ImgBurn at 4x speed which always works.

I must have repeated a dozen times that you have to boot the DVD but it still didn't sink in. If you had a problem booting it you should have asked. There is no way Win8 will be on C now as the OS will be when correctly installed from boot. There will be other issues down the line because of this, because of stubbornness that you will ignore the advice you don't want to hear.

You should post back a Disk Mgmt screenshot so we can see what additional mess has been made.

I tried booting from the disk but it never completed. It got stuck at 11% or 13% or 33% and never went past that. I tried about 5 disks and they all froze. I followed the instructions from eightforums in step 6C and on
Dual Boot Installation - Windows 8 and Windows 7 or Vista

It installed up to 20% from inside windows 7, then restarted and did the rest before loading any OS just as DVD booting would have done.

So what letter does Win8 assume when booted?

If it failed after burning DVD with ImgBUrn at 4x speed then there may be a problem with your DVD drive. You can always write the ISO to bootable flash stick.

I assume it went to the W drive.
My computer can not boot off of USB drives.

I now have a problem with Windows 7. When I select to boot it in the select OS menu, it starts booting like normal, but after the little animation of the windows logo, the screen turns black and all I see is the mouse cursor.

(Edit) Never mind about the KSOD. Windows 7 is just taking a REALLY long time to boot and shutdown. Do you know why that would be? I made no changes. Last night it was working fine and this morning W7 started taking forever to boot up.
