Dumb mistake on my Asus laptop

I really feel dumb on this one....if nobody has the answer then I deserve to have to use the recovery dvd set .
I locked myself out of my Windows 7 laptop with a silly password that I can't remember. Any way to get past the sign in screen?
Even safe mode requires the password. Help!??
