Hello Window Users:

I am able to enter my Facebook on one laptop, but when I try to sign on to a second laptop I am locked out with error messages. I can normally sign in with Google when I have a problem, but on the second laptop even this is impossible. Two things are puzzling: (1) Is this anomaly normal for Facebook. Why would one laptop work and not the other and (2) This problem has no happened to me in the past. Why now. I have found that many other people are in explicably been locked out of their Facebooks too. --- Old Silver

Second laptop with same password doesn't work for Facebook

Normally, I can get in through by signing in using Google. On my second laptop this is not the case. It's as if Facebook views my second laptop as a potential hacker. I've heard that they use bots not humans. I believe it. Their Support group is terrible. The responses I get are automated and in most cases don't make any sense. On the second laptop they tell me I have an old password even though I generated in moments earlier. At one point, after I thought I got in successfully, I was asked to present an authenticator code on my smart phone. I don't own a smart phone. Then mysteriously, for a brief spell, I go my page back on my second laptop. Now I'm back to square one! The notifications they sent me before this telling me they had stopped the intruder made me realize that they thought I was invading my own laptop. Humans, with basic reasoning, wouldn't make that mistake. So, you see, the problem I have (I can get into my first laptop now but not the second) is a lot more complicated than your suggestion. Can this situation even be resolved? Facebook, whether automatically or through human design, is capricious. Why they never developed a competent staff of technicians and have the worst customer service imaginable, never ceases to amaze me. ---- Old Silver

The "Old Password" error might be d4ue to a cached password on the second laptop. Try clearing your browsing data and then logging in again with your current password.

Locked out of Facebook on 2nd Laptop

Thank you for your response. But I tried cleaning out browser and everything else. It seems Facebook techs think my 2nd Facebook effort is an intruder. I can see no way of correcting this. ---- Old Silver

Facebook has disabled my page!

My Facebook has been disabled. I have followed company standards and yet they claim that I haven't done so or I am not the legitimate owner. Although I followed the instructions to appeal, when I attempt to log in with my password, I get an error message telling me I entered an old password (even though it is new). Ultimately, I end up receiving the "Disabled Facebook" message again. Please help me get my Facebook restored. Why are they doing this to me?
