Hi and welcome to sevenForums,
See if these do any good,
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Troubleshoot-AutoPlay-problems
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/cd_dvd_drive_problems

Just for the record what are you attempting to play ? what type of media/ Movie load a program...
Cheers.

First of all is it ejecting manually? Then it is the problem with power cable.

If so,try to remove the dvd rom,and insert it screw it again, then go to device manager and scan for hardware changes..
Hope if your problem is solved....

What antivirus do you use ? Also go to computer management and then device manager. Post the drivers from DVD/CD-ROM drivers tab.
