DVD Rom Not Working!!! help !!!!!

Hey! guys when i was was install a new frimware by flashing dvd rom then my dvd rom isn't working the icon of DVD rom from my computer folder is also gone and Device Manager is also not showing the icon and my dvd rom is not detected by dell optiplex 745 tower bios too. I have updated my bios to latest bios version 2.6.6..

!!!!!! Please Help As Faster As Someone can Please !!!!!!

Hello Joseph, can you post a screen shot/picture of your Device Manager with CD/DVD expanded?

Looks like the DVD drive firmware flash was a catastrophic failure, because your mobo no longer detects the drive, and Windows doesn't even see a drive in Device Manager.

Your specs don't mention a make or model for the DVD drive. What have you got, and where did you get the firmware update?

I installed the firmware from Dell drivers and downloads support. I think I have flash the wrong Philips CD/DVD Driver And I don't know how to solve my mistake please help me!!!!!

Could you post the name and model no. for the DVD ROM. Because dell uses TSSTCorp Drives. TSSTCorp fresh firmware can be downloaded online from thier site.
Post it here. (It would look like "SN-208BB")
