Hi,
I have win7 ultimate and a JVC Mini DV camcorder.
When i first plugged in the camcorder (via firewire) I seem to remember I got an autoplay pop-up which asked me if I wanted to capture video from the device.
I said yes and was impressed that WIN7 controlled my device and captured the whole 60min tape effortlessley.
So now I see in "my videos" folder I have a load a video files (about 30 i think) of what was on my mini dv tape.
So, I wanted to make a DVD of this and opened up "movie maker" from the programs list. (It seemed to be what I wanted). I inserted a blank DVD-9 (dual layer) and after what seemd like about an hour of conversion and then burning it told me the disk was not big enough to hold the data, and requested another disk.
Now this I dont quite understand and the more I thought about it, i dont remember any options that asked me what output format or size I wanted the file to be.
I was impressed up until this point of having a partially complete DVD. The DVD plays in my PC by the way, but i doubt it would in a DVD player and does not ofcourse contain the whole video file or DVD menu I set-up.
Are there some options I have missed, or should I just use another software instead. I dont want the video spread over multiple disks and I'm not sure that that is what i would have got if I would have placed another blank disc in the drive after the 1st burn.
