Thinking about getting away from using webmail, and getting a webmail client. I use W7 Ult. I am not looking to pay for anything; I understand MS Outlook has a free vers. So, I go to the outlook page, but it's asking me to sign up. That kinda threw me. Sign up - for what? Create an acct? That type of thing worries me, even if it is MS.

Thoughts? Thanks. :)

Ms Outlook has no free versions. Outlook.com (former Hotmail.com and Live.com) is a webmail service by Microsoft. It has nothing to do with Microsoft Outlook email client and personal information manager, part of the Microsoft Office suite. If you want to use Outlook.com webmail, you have to sign up for an Outlook.com account.

You can use Microsoft Office Outlook client to read and send Outlook.com mail but they really have nothing else to do with each other.

Oh, I see. I was confused with the outlook thing; it's on a page with a MS url.

Will look into Live Mail. Thanks!
