email numbers

HI,I have annoying problem with comcast concerning the number of emails that show up in the notification
area in the upper right hand side of pc,when i click on the little envelop it goes to inbox but then it says (no results found) called comcast and they were no help at all.
is there procedure to remove that number any ideas would be appreciated,thank's

Sounds like you'd need to somehow repair that notification box, does comcast have specific settings for the notification box?

If it isn't that, I see you're using firefox do you clear your cache when you close the session? you might have some corruption that helps work the box. How to clear the Firefox cache | Firefox Help

Could even be a corrupt cooky, on the same privacy page you'll see a line on the right that says "show cookies" click on that and when it opens type comcast or try comcast notifications in the search box then see what it finds, be careful though, if you delete the ones for logging in you'll need your ID and passwords to get back in.
