Hi there

HYPER-V probably isn't the best virtualisation system if you want to play games etc on your VM's. It has very efficient HDD use and is ideal for "Officy" type VM's and work - for example "Bog standard" W7 / W8 VM's running Ms office , corporate back ends like ERP software etc.

As the above post says use VMWARE -- it has far better 3D support for VM's than VBOX. Remember also new version coming out in Nov.

@Dude.

There are some inaccuracies in the article.

Certainly on a Windows 8/8.1 HOST HYPER-V does support HOST sound pass thru on RDP and the RDP has full colour / graphics that the HOST can provide - It works very well. You need in your RDP session to allow access to HOST resources and in the HYPER-V settings enable "Enhanced mode".

Cheers
jimbo
