Intel has stopped supporting driver updates for my chipset and I would like to know if this is something I should be concerned about. Gigabyte hasn't updated chipset drivers in over a year also which is my motherboard manufacturer.

I wouldn't be concerned, if everything is working OK. Considering the EOL for the hardware its not a good candidate for OS upgrade, if you wanted.

I had a Gigabyte then ASRock motherboards that I used initially with Vista then Win 7. There were never any Chipset driver updates but they both worked without problems.
