Let's just say, I've got a lot of problems. I'm feeling I can fix a lot of them with if this one is solved.

I want to run sfc /scannow. The problem? Well I can't. TrustedInstaller needs to be running for that to work. In the cmd I typed "net start TrustedInstaller"
Here is the response:
Code:
The Windows Modules Installer service is starting.
The Windows Modules Installer service could not be started.

System error 1812 has occured.

The specified image file did not contain a resource section.
The keyword here is 'resource section'. I do not know what this means.

Attempting to start it from services.msc also puts out this error.

Here is the error in event viewer (xml view):

I have already tried a chkdsk /r which took many hours and did not solve it. sfc /scannow obviously cannot be run. The problem is clearly with the 'resource section', which I am unsure what it means. Attempting to replace the whole servicing folder with a working one had no effect, so I am sure that it is not that problem. It may be a regedit problem but I would have no clue where to start or what to add/fix.

From the error message it seems that the TrustedInstaller service is not started on your computer. Try the steps below and verify if you are able to install updates.
1. Click on start.
2. In the start search box type Services.msc and press enter.
3. Scroll down to Windows Modules Installer. Double click it and up comes a Properties panel that shows service name Trusted installer.
4. In Startup Type it should say Manual. Using the drop down menu select Automatic.
5. Click on Start button.
6. Click on Logon tab.
7. Select to Local system account.
8. Click on Apply and Ok.
9. Restart the computer

Also try to disable security softwares on the computer and try to run the updates and verify if it works fine.
If the issue persists, reply back with the details below:
1. Does this happen with all updates or with any particular update?
2. Do you have any security software installed on the computer?
Hope it helps.
Regards,

2 years old and so far this rig still kicks butt

Thanks for trying to help me.
I've seen the first page. I don't see how it helps. It just tells me to review and verify that I am having an error, and what error I am having. I do not know how to solve error 1812, which is the diagnosis. 7032 just means it had to be terminated, 1812 is the reason why.

For the second thing, I downloaded the Windows Module registries and when merging I get the following error;
Code:
Cannot import C:\Users\:)\Desktop\Windows_Modules_Installer.reg: Not all data was successfully written to the registry. Some keys are open by the system or other processes.
Attempting to start trustedinstaller still failed.

From the error message it seems that the TrustedInstaller service is not started on your computer. Try the steps below and verify if you are able to install updates.
1. Click on start.

Regards,

I'm afraid you ignored the point; the service cannot start due to the "lack of a resource point". The values in the services.msc already are like that.

1. Unsure. A recent update screwed up my cdrom.sys and I had to disable my cd-drive in my bios. It also prevents me from getting into safe mode. However I don't care about the cdrom.sys or cd-drive -- I can live without it.

2. No, I do not.

Verify if you are able to access Windows recovery environment mode. If you are able to access built in Windows recovery environment mode perform a Startup repair and verify if you are able to install updates.

To access Windows recovery environment:
Keep tapping F8 key when the computer starts. If you see the option to select repair your computer select it and perform a startup repair.
