Hello,
I built a new computer over the weekend and installed a legitimate copy of Windows 7 Home Premium x64. After activating, I've been running through the updates and hit a few snags along the way. I was able to Google my way to solutions for the first couple error codes, but this last one is eluding me.
KB2619339 and KB2698365 both generate a Code 8024200D when I try to install them through Windows Update, either individually or together. All other updates are installed.
I have attempted the following:
1. Running the System Update Readiness Tool.
2. Running sfc /scannow (no problems found).
3. Running the automated troubleshooter ("Fix problems with Windows Update").
4. Manually installing each patch from the KB articles directly. When I do this, I get an error stating "The update is not applicable to your computer".
5. Disabling all startup items and services (except Windows Update) in msconfig.
6. Manually running each step here to reset the Windows Update components.
Any assistance you might be able to provide would be deeply appreciated.
