My guess is you used those registry fixers too much. Honestly, the registry is super sensitive, and messing with it causes a whole host of issues. All the apps that "fix" the issue are set for a general class of install, and to be honest, there's no such thing. There are a bunch of things that can cause these issues, but only messing with the registry can cause all of these. There's only really one fix. Reinstall Windows.

You have done all the tricks and that is what got you in this mess.

I agree with cjkuhlenbeck a clean install is your best bet.

Here is a tutorial by Brink to help you.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html

Then stay away from all those magic registry tools along with all those tuneup and speed up B/S programs.

Windows 7 doesn't need or want such tools.

Well some speed up tools that advise you on services that you don't need and make it easy to backup the current settings, and disable/enable them + restore, I don't mind. :)

The really awful ones give few options and don't give details on what is done, I do suggest avoiding those completely.

But, if it aint broke don't fix it is a good motto also.
