Recently whenever I've used an .exe installer I'll get an error as soon as I click start after choosing the directory, in the picture example I include below, it's of SA-MP, but it happens with any installer I try and use. Installers have worked previously, it's only recently it's stopped working.
The error is;
Error opening files for writing.

What I've tried;
-Full system scan with Comodo AV.
-Revealed hidden files and folders.
-Run the installer in both compatability (Even though it does work on Win7, and as an Administrator).
-Also done the scan on CMD (can't remember exact command).

If you need additional information, don't hesitate to ask.
Brief Info:
OS: Win7 Home Premium 64bit.

Installers are not even accessible to Admins. They are owned by trusted Installer. Have you tried taking ownership? See tutorials here on SF.

Under tutorials>"T">taking ownership.

I tried the Take Ownership shortcut, it says it doesnt' work on .exe's but none-the-less I took control of the folder I was installing the program too but still the same errors.

Might be time for a repair install. DO you have a backup from before this problem started?

Unfortunately not, however I do have a TimeMachine harddrive (2TB) to back up onto, what would I need to backup? Thanks, also I do have my original Win7 Disc.
Edit; I do have restore points if thats what you mean.

Since you have the room I would backup the entire drive (make an image) then put the win 7 dvd in the dvd and run repair my computer.
