Hello, i've just installed a fresh OS, Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and i have a error message when i reboot or turn off my PC. The error appears then disappears so quick i can't read it. Then in Event Viewer i have couple of Error ID 10, and i think that's the error message i get on rebooting/shut down, my PC.

Please explain to me from what is this error, and how do i fix it ?

Hello, so i've created the Workaround.vbs, then started CMD, then pointed in CMD where the Workaround.vbs is, pressed Enter, then nothing happened in CMD log, is normal ?

Seems that link is some Microsoft official, means the fix is genuine.

But i have another error in Event Viewer, on every restart i have 8 (because i have 4 cores and 8 threads) errors, with error ID 35

If there is a fix for this is awesome, i have the latest BIOS version, both EIST and C1E enabled in BIOS, and a OC at 4.5Ghz
Could this be the fault, OC-ing the CPU and the OS doesn't like it ?

To be honest I download the fix it, it does the same thing without the effort:)

The other one I'm not to sure about, there is plenty if information on the net on the error and also a fix it too but it appears to be specifically aimed at "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first". - Windows 7 Event ID 35 Kernel-Processor-Power

So for the Kernel error isn't a proper fix ?

Stupid Kernel, i want Windows 8 retail in stores now, and i hope they changed the Kernel in W8.

Ok so the error appears when i for example update to SP1 ? And if i install a Windows 7 with SP1 already included in the .iso the error stops by default ?

In this case why they didn't released a update to fix this problem, i already have all the updates installed, and as you saw i've got the error, and the nasty thing is that the error sometimes appears as a pop-up error window when i reboot the PC.

I have the latest .iso from MSDN released in 5/12/2011 installed in my PC.

You say if i download a Windows 7 SP1.iso with new integrated updates i will no longer have the id 10 error ?

And i didn't find on MSDN such thing, Windows 7 SPI-U media refresh.

Ok, taken the .iso from the above link, from digital life. Putted the .iso on a bootable usb drive. Then on the installation process the windows asked me for some CD/DVD, thing and some browse, button. I was unable to install that .iso

I wouldn't go to the extent of re-installing because of a harmless error in event viewer.

This originated in the Windows 7 SP1 DVD/ISO creation process. There was an issue in the creation process that caused a WMI registration to remain in the DVD/ISO. Since the registration is designed to work only during the DVD/ISO creation process, it fails to run on a live system and causes these events. These events are not indicative of any issue in the system and can be safely ignored

Ok, after i've installed the fix it, for the WMI error. The error still appears in event viewer. That fix it was useless. And the pop-in error after rebooting is still there.

Nasty thing, in the past i didn't had this problem, and i've installed the same exact software that i use day by day.
