Error Installing IE11 Update KB2977629 for Windows 7 x86

Windows 7 x86, downloaded offline installer IE11-Windows6.1-KB2977629-x86.msu (need the last version of IE11 because older versions don't work correct with some software) getting an error, something like "not suitable for this computer" (sorry, don't know the exact translation to english). Before I also installed IE11-Windows6.1-KB2929437-x86.msu as it was told in KB article.

In the event logs i see the error because of 2149842967:

SFC /scannow shows no errors

Also there is an update which can't install and shows error 9c48
Computer in corporate network, all updates are installed with WSUS. Other computers don't have this problem, only this one.

I tried to uninstall IE11 with the command FORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*11.*.mum /c "cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname && start /w pkgmgr /upfname /norestart" - after that I couldn't install it again. had to recover from the latest recovery point.

Also I installed the Windows6.1-KB947821-v34-x86 update, which should fix some problems, but it did not happen

I'm low on knowledge in this area but I did find something from Microsoft.
Seem like that update is for Server.

there are some different versions of the update for many OSes and IEs... I'm pretty much sure I downloaded the right version - IE11 for W7x86

i'm sure that's not a HW problem, but if you insist:

the last line with OS says: "MS Win 7 Professional 32-bit 7601 Multiprocessor Free Service Pack 1"
Graphics: Standard VGA graphics adapter
Sound: Device with HDAudio support

computer is not mine, it's of one of the user's computers here in my company, where i am sysadmin. the problem is only with this computer

Run Windows 7 Updates and see if it is offered. If Windows 7 Updates doesn't offer the (KB) then your computer doesn't need it.
While you are there check (view update history) and (Installed Updates) for that (KB)

Does this computer hooked to a company network or domain?
Do you have a I.T. department at your work place?
You have Windows 7 Pro and you are trying to install a (KB) for Windows Server/

You could also try opening I.E. and select Help/About Internet Explorer and update Internet Explorer from there.

Note:
I use Windows 7 Pro/64 and KB2977629 is installed.
It must of installed through Windows Updates.
You might already have the update.

Also as I told before we have Win7 systems with a newer version of IE11. on this particular computer version is 11.0.9600.16428
I have a computer with 11.0.9600.17278 in the network, that's where I found the KB2977629

of course it's domain network
I'm in an IT department, and fortunately I can see what version and for what OS I'm downloading

Run Windows 7 Updates and see if it is offered. If Windows 7 Updates doesn't offer the (KB) then your computer doesn't need it.

it offers nothing. updates are ruled by systems administrator - WSUS

Note:
I use Windows 7 Pro/64 and KB2977629 is installed.
It must of installed through Windows Updates.

Note: I have a trouble with KB2988629, that's why i created the post in this forum. if it was installed already - i wouldn't begin the thread
If the update was installed, the IE11 version would be higher, i wouldn't begin the thread
Note one more thing: you say that i'm trying to install a KB for Windows Server and you have that KB installed on your non-server Win7x64... I'm confused again

P.S. Sorry, the screenshot of a newer version of IE11 is from another computer with Win8, now you can be confused too, but I'm downloading the right version of KB for Win7x86 and it's not installed correctly

well, yes. once WSUS is configured - you forget about the updates, also i'm not responsible for updates via WSUS, the other admin is.
now I'm responsible for the user's software, and some 3rd party software is not working correctly in present version of IE11, but it works great in the 11.0.9600.17278 version. that's why I'm trying to install that update, but it's not installed correctly. that's why I'm here, as the topic says, error installing IE11 update

all but one (2882822) were already installed, downloaded installed the last one from Update adds ITraceRelogger interface support to Windows Embedded Standard 7 SP1, Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1

I rolled back to today's morning recovery point, i think it was made before some of the updates were installed automatically.

I've uploaded afile - nykaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please downloadand save it.
Right-click onthe downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to thedefault location - which will create a new folder nykaain the same place.
Open this folder- there should be one folders inside it ( Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to thefolder

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

Nowrun the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)


Postthe new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.
