Error when trying to duplicate monitor display to TV

I am setting up a triple monitor build with 2 pc monitors, as well as a Sony VIZIO Television. What I am attempting to do is clone one of the monitor displays onto the TV, while still being able to run dual monitors with the remaining monitor I have. At this moment I am only able to extend my display across the 3 devices. I have tried using Windows display settings, as well as my Intel Graphics settings, but to no avail. Additionally, with Windows display settings, I receive the following error message after each attempt:

Why are you trying to duplicate it ?

What`s wrong with just extending ?

If you want the TV to be the Primary monitor for a bit, just change that.

Try duplicating first then extending the 3rd.

If not extend first then duplicate.

Just tried this in my setup: see if works

- Disable TV
- Extend the monitors
- Select Duplicate from dropdown menu

My guess is for the same or a similar reason I have the primary monitor of my three monitor setup cloned to my TV. In my case, it's so I can watch movies and read e-books from my TV while in my bed but still have access to the task bar on the primary monitor. If I made my TV the primary, when at my desk, I would have to get up to turn on the TV and crane my neck at a crazy angle (something my 66 year old neck doesn't appreciate) to see the taskbar, not to mention I would get image burn-in on the TV from the static image of the desktop (the TV, a 32" Vizio, is six years old and wasn't the newest model when I bought it).

I used a powered HDMI splitter from Monoprice.com to split the feed from my GPU to my primary monitor and my TV. While it works great for me, there are limitations. The splitter will work only with 16:9 monitors and TVs (I'm glad I found that out before I bought the 16:10 monitors I had been lusting for). I didn't want to mention this here until we saw what kind hardware the OP has.

Since you mentioned hardware, maybe resolution differences are causing the problem for OP?

My displays, both the monitors and TV, are all 1920x1080.

Which is one reason why I wanted to wait to see what hardware the OP has.
