After doing a couple of tests, when I rebooted my PC, ESET detected a threat but it unable to delete or clean it. It gives an error while deleting.

BTW, I did a quick scan with NIS 2010 and it was able to remove the virus.

norton 2010 is top notch except that its sonar 2 is over eager most of times and its suspicious.insight detections are cryptic at best

also by deault eset advanced file heuristics on execution is off wonder turning it on might get it to catch more threats

hi....post it on eset forum.....ESET Smart Security Forum - Wilders Security Forums
they are quick to respond
Thanks for the input. I uninstalled ESET. I was a die-hard ESET fan once but lately I have moved away from ESET due to these reasons.

Wow. I used to trust ESET more than any other A/V. What happened to them? It sounds like they're pretty garbage now, and I feel like my computer isn't protected at all when I read stuff like this.

*Sigh* What a waste of money. Maybe MSE is better.

Well, I wouldn't call ESET a waste of money. It's still a very good AV product. I have a license for 2 systems that I haven't used for quite some time though.

With that being said, a lot of people still use ESET, especially on this forum.

Norton is far better than many are giving it credit for quite honestly.

Only thing i hate about it, is that Malwarebytes has nothing to do ... ever.
But I guess thats a good thing.

As far as Sonar, mines only went off 1 time.
On further investigation, I found it was correct and done the right thing.

Just curious, In what way is it suspicious? from my experience with it, it only chimes in if something is happening thats potentially dangerous or actions that are not at all normal.
