Event ID 2017- The server was unable to allocate from the system nonpa

Windows 7 Professional
SOHO Network = 3 desktops / 3 Laptops
SO machines keep data on separate shared drive
HO machines back up data files to separate shared drive every month or so.

Only recent change ... connected USB printer to USB port on router.
Installed As EZprint utility to print to this printer on this box (works)
Installed As EZprint utility to print to this printer on office manager's box (didn't work)

Every once and a while the mouse would freeze for 2 or 3 seconds ... tended to ignore it .... today it's happening every 4 or 5 minutes. Searching on the error message it tells me it's cause I need to have the box work as a print server or other such type of activity. I haven't needed this for 5 years, why now ? rather than change this behavior, I'd rather find out what is making the call to this box to act as a server and stop it.
