Everything on my computer is gone,but still there.

Ok here we go.I turn on my computer and the majority of my desktop icons are gone.I go into windows explorer and all of my music,pictures,videos and documents are gone,but if i go through C:\Users everything is still there.As far as I know I didn't make any major changes to my system,and it was working fine the night before.Virus scan came up negative and I haven't installed any new programs.If anyone has any idea how to fix this it would be appreciated.

Try doing a system restore to a point before you had problems..

What accounts show under C:\Users?

Sounds like you had a corrupted account so Windows gave you a new one.

On mine there are several:



You'll only see Administrator if you have enabled it.

I discovered that everything is pointing to C:\Users\Temp.me-PC.me.pc is the name of my computer.Folder was created today at the time I started my computer and I can't delete it.

No, that is the folder tree for the currently logged in user.

First you need to run chkdsk to clean up any file system problems. There may be none but it's always best to make sure:

• Click on Start, type command prompt.
• Right click on Command Prompt at the top of the window and select Run as Administrator.
• In the Command Prompt Window, type (or copy and paste) chkdsk c: /f and press Enter.
• You will get a message that says the check could not be performed ....
  Do you want to schedule this disk check to run the next time you restart the computer?
  Respond with Y.
• Shutdown and reboot. Chkdsk will start. It can take an hour or more to run depending on the size of your hard drive. Be patient and let it complete undisturbed.

Note: Before you can copy anything, you must first logon with the new profile by logging off the current one and logging on with the new one or using Fast User Switching to logon to the new one without logging off of the old one. Once that's done, logoff again.

In addition check for malware again using Malwarebytes full scan, from Safe Mode
if necessary.

Then check for damaged System Files using SFC /SCANNOW Command if necessary from the Win7 disk using SFC /SCANNOW Run in Command Prompt at Boot

If the above corrective measures don't work you could take the drive out of the case, open another case and hook it up not as the boot drive but just to copy - salvage what files you can.
