Hello,

I've been getting this annoying BSOD for a while now, and I've re-installed my OS just this morning and few times before that, clean install, but the damn thing is not going away. Prior to re-installing (this morning), I had every driver up to date, good anti-virus, and everything else, but after doing it few times, and BSOD still being present, I'm just getting lazy to even install and update everything over and over again, I'm...tired of it. I tried other technical support forums, but they don't know what's the problem. The guy on this other forum is telling me that its totally random, and he can't determine what's the problem, and he stopped responding to my posts, so I had to ask for help somewhere else. Anyway, the OS:

Original OS: It was XP, when I bought the PC.

Current OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (Full Retail)

Age Of System: Year and a half, maybe, something like that.

OS Age: Re-installed this morning, in attempt to get rid of BSOD.

PC:
AMD Athlon II x4 630 Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.8Ghz
4GB Of Ram
ATI Radeon HD 4600

Hi, Skygrinder; and welcome to the forum. Are you a helicopter pilot?

I looked that two dumps you uploaded. Both are bugcheck A which is usually caused by Kernel mode driver, System Service, BIOS, Windows, Virus scanner, Backup tool, compatibility.

1. Please update your OS and install Service Pack 1: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...ice-pack-1-sp1

2. Update your chipset drivers; this particular driver is way out of date and it is a critical driver. Update your chipset through the link provided.
nvm62x64.sys Fri Oct 17 17:01:06 2008 - nVidia Ethernet Networking Driver (nForce chipset driver). Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers.
3. After you install SP1 and update the above driver, if you get another BSOD, upload the dump and enable Driver Verifier carefully following the instructions in this tutorial:
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable. Keep in mind that if Driver Verier encounters a faulty driver, it will trigger a BSOD. Upload any and all Verifier enabled dumps.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: ffffe88002fd31b0, memory referenced
Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL
Arg3: 0000000000000001, bitfield :
    bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
Arg4: fffff800028750f9, address which referenced memory

Welcome to Seven Forums.

After following Carl's recommendations, he's good at this, let's look at the RAM.
AMD CPUs have a known issue when running RAM at 1600MHz and above, let us know your RAM frequency.

D/L CPUZ and post a snip of the CPU, Mainboard, Memory, and SPD tabs.

For posting the information , enter 'Snipping tool' in the Start button > Search box, hit enter. Select the area you want to post and save to a convenient place.
How to Post a Screenshot in Seven Forums

Have you been checking your temperatures?

Use Speed Fan or Core Temp , run one of these and check the CPU temps when at idle, under load and/or testing.
Let us know the minimum and maximum temps you get.

Go to your BIOS and tell us what the CPU, RAM and North Bridge (NB) voltages are.

Oh, thank you guys for the warm welcome and assistance.

@CarlTR6
Haha, I wish, but nah, Its a soundtrack name from the "Air Gear" animation, I liked it, and liked the name of it, and just took it in as a nickname. (http://youtu.be/Or43JoM0TXQ) :)

I installed SP1 and updated the nForce driver. Should I just wait for BSOD now (If its still present), or should I continue to the next step and stuff that Dave told me to do? Because it could take a while, as it is, BSOD was happening only 1-2 times in 24 hours, sometimes I don't even get BSOD in 24 hours, its pretty random.

I'll try turning on stuff that was running when the last BSOD happened.

Could job on following the suggestions. Go ahead and use your system normally. If you get another BSOD, upload the dump and then follow Dave's suggestions. Dave is a hardware expert. We will make sure your hardware is OK and then proceed with Driver Verifier if it is needed. Keep us posted on how your system is doing.

I didn't have any BSODs yet, but some weird stuff was happening when I woke up this morning...

First off, when I tried to go on google, I couldn't, or any other website, it just showed me an error, and told me to use internet connection troubleshot thing, and that fixed it, but, in addition to that, some uninstallers were turned on by themselves, for two games, to be specific, I didn't go near them, I just suddenly got the administrator confirmation thing, and it was for "uninstaller.exe", I was curious about what it is, since I didn't start it myself, and when I pressed "Yes", I saw it was for one of the games that I have installed, and anyway, I canceled, and came here to report.

What Anti-virus are you using?
Run a Full scan with your updated anti-virus.

Then D/L Malwarebytes, first thing to do when you open it is to update the database, then run a full scan.

Let us know if it comes up with anything.

I ran Avast (Free) and the Malwarebytes, the only threats found were some cracks for games, I removed them, and re-scanned, and there is nothing now. Oh, I also scanned with this online antivirus (Free ESET Online Antivirus Scanner), it also found nothing.

Cracks can definitely create conflicts with Win 7. Let's see how your system does with these cracks removed.

Agree with Carl, also D/L'ing these files from not so nice sites is a known way to get viruses, malware and rootkits.

Ah, okay. I'll report if something unusual happens again, but so far, everything's fine, and I'm pretty sure that BSOD problem is fixed, so, thanks for that, that was my main problem.

Anyway, could you recommend me a program that creates some kind of backup of my system at this point, so If I get a virus or something like that, I can just revert it back to the current state?

Or will the default system restore be good enough for this?

Hi Skygrinder and welcome to the Forum. Was glad to see that Dave & Carl were able to help solve your earlier problems. They are both hard workers here at to Forum.
As regards to backup software, using Windows Restore Points is a good way to go back in time to recover from a botched driver or program install but I would not rely on it to save my bacon in more serious issues.
If you have an External USB Hard Drive you can Image your whole system safely to that device. Many here at the Forum use a free product called Macrium Reflect.
Very easy to use and also very fast. You can download it at the link below. Also there are some very fine Tutorials on it's use in our Tutorial Section.
Macrium Reflect FREE Edition - Information and download

Also, if you are looking for just a file/folder backup program, you may want to try Cobian Backup, also used by many fo our members. See link below.
Cobian Backup

Hope this helps. Don't be a stranger - lot's to learn through our Tutorials section.

Regards
JohnnyA

Darn- beat me to it Carl. lol

So, guys, the BSOD happened just now, it took it a while, so I thought it was fixed, but unfortunately, its still there.

I've attached the whole report thing, like in first post AND just dump, so take your pick. Should I continue now to the 3rd step? (Running Driver Verifier) or what? :/
