Hello guys,

I need your help in explaining the two graphics card listed in my device manager tree. I have a laptop HP Probook 45302. Device manager list is attached. I wanted to update the graphics card drivers and I wonder if I really have two graphics card. In properties of My computer I see that I have 4 GB RAM (2.69 GB usable).

Thank you.

Hello samuria,

I didn't quite understand your answer. Can you please clarify what you meant under " ports for video haveing".

On the laptop (HP4530s) there are one VGA and one HDMI port.

Hi,
The Intel hd graphic's would be disabled is what Sam is saying by default if another graphic's card was installed.
My device manager doesn't even show onboard graphic's as yours does which is odd I'm using a gtx980 graphic's card and it shows up.

Most laptops do because Processors come with a GPU Chip with the Processor's die.

To answer your question, yes.

In most cases, laptops with a similar setup (even AMD's) tend to use the dedicated GPU for graphically-intensive applications and will only use the onboard GPU when there is nothing intensive or the laptop is set to power saving mode.

But it's a different thing for AMD since both dedicated GPU and onboard GPU are crossfired to gain performance on games. Most people would rather have it disabled because SLI does not really work well in most games.
