Hi all, hope you can help. I have Win 7 64 bit with 2 External drives which I have several partitons on each. A few days ago I encountered a Trojan and coincidentally at the same time my external drives were renamed to PEN DRIVE. When I view it with MY COMPUTER they still show the original names I assigned them but with Explorer/Powerdesk they show PEN DRIVE. I reformatted the main drive C: to get rid of the Trojan but the external drives didn't change. I re formatted and renamed one external but still no change. Any Ideas how to rename them back to my personal names?

Thanks

Welcome to the Seven Forums!

Can you verify that the trojan has not piggy-backed onto the external drives? Also, you say the names are correct in "My Computer" but not in "Explorer". I was under the impression they were the same in Windows 7, so some additional clarification would be nice. If the names are only appearing incorrectly via the 3rd-party program Powerdesk, it's possible the settings were inadvertently changed.
