External HDD - not recognized after printer install
after installing printer my friends USB HDD is not recognized on his PC when it boots up...but if he reboots the HDD (turns OFF then ON) it works?

ive told him to and to hard boot the PC (remove power) - see if that helps - but he at work until 6
