External Monitor cut off on left side

I have been using my Acer S201HL as an external monitor for my Toshiba Satellite l755 for almost 2 years now, and it suddenly is no longer recognized correctly. In the display settings it is show as a Generic Non-PNP monitor. I have already reinstalled drivers, unplugged and plugged back in, and reinstalling Acer eDisplay Management.

A problem I've seen using external monitors with Notebooks is the screen resolution, have to be able to use the same such as 1440x900. It's part of the difference between XGA and WXGA with the WXGA being the wide-screen display. Most external LCD/LED monitors have an Auto button or OSD setting for making adjustments, Auto usually gets the same full screen as on the Notebook on mine.

As it were, I've already reset the monitor to factory default, and used the auto-adjust in the OSD. If I use the H-Position I can get most of the way back, but not completely.
It seems my resolution is correct, but some of the "desktop" is cut of in the space between monitors.
