I have three external usb drives - 2 are actual drives and the third is stick. I also have 4 usb 2 ports on my MB - and an additional 4 port USB 3 add-on card. I find that if the 3 externals are plugged into the USB2 machine ports...they show up in bios boot screens...but...if I use them in the USB3 ports on the card...they may or may not be discovered in the bios startup read out ?
From a difference of 1) performance...and 2) Windows ability to find them all the time at startup...is there a way to use them with the add-on usb card (USB 3) rather than the MB's iUSB2 internal ports ?
Thanks...TiminAz
