Failed dual boot setup now cant get win7 working

Ok my dell laptop had win7 home premium, i tried to set up a dusl boot with windows xp.
Xp would not boot up correctly and shows a blue screen which mentioned something about graphic display.
I tried a few more xp setup attempts by deleting or formatting the partition and starting over but i still get the same blue screen error.
I got fed up and deleted the partition and just wanted to go back to using win7. However i am no longer able to do so, is it because the xp bootliader has wrote over the win7 one? Can this be rectified without installing xp?
Iv tried to access the recovery partition but i cant get to the option to repair.
Laptop is a dell n5010 all help appreciated

It sounds like you can't boot the Dell laptop at all now, right ?

Can you use another PC to download and burn a bootable CD disc ?
If you can,
- download free Partition Wizard bootable CD
-- Partition Wizard bootable CD
- create a bootable CD
- boot with the PW disc
- take a camera pic of your Dell partitions and post the picture in your reply
-- Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums

You are correct i can no longer boot at all, i will have to try get the lend of another laptop to burn disks, once i have i will do as you say, thanks

Normally you would confirm the 100mb System Resserved (if you have it) or C:\Windows 7 partition (if you don't) is Partition Marked Active

Then run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times.

Partition Wizard can help you mark Active, or you can do it from the Win7 disk as shown in Option 2.

If there are any complications then seeing a picture of PW drive map can help us sort it out for you.

Ok bit of an update i managed to get xp installed but i cant get the wireless driver to connect to the internet, ive tried the dell website but it no longer supports xp. I have tried some links on google but they seem to end up going to a page where the download link is no longer available.
Any ideas?

Trace the Hardware Identification then google the make/model adapter + XP driver, or post back here in our Drivers forum where they can find any driver.

I have tried using device manager to tell which components i have but it just shows up yellow ? Signs. I have also entered my service tag into the dell website but it shows no drivers for my laptop, i was hoping id be able to tell which components i had from this

You must click on the missing driver in Device Manager, it will open a box, select the Details tab and dropdown the menu to Hardware Identification, google or post back that data to find a Win7 driver. This is explained in the blue link tutorial.
