Altec Lansing Fx5051 has a plug and play option when connected to USB .So its using USBAUDI.sys as its driver.

PFB the whereabouts of my speakers
Altec Lansing > Speakers for Home > Gaming Speakers > FX5051
Alright I see....haven't dealt with one of these before:D

I have looked and looked and looked and looked some more...and I cannot find any updated drivers for the device. The only thing left to reccomend is these three things...

1)Find the Altec Speakers in Device Manager and right click->Remove the Device. After it finishes, Right-Click any device in Device Manager and hit "Scan for Hardware Changes". It should install the speakers with the default driver again

2)If #1 doesn't work...try a different USB port

3)*if #1 or #2 fail* Contact Altec and see if they can provide a compatibile driver for Windows 7

I wish you the best of luck

Yes there is a way. Just go into the Device Manager and roll back to the old driver.

Hopefully he can do that...I am not convinced that a new driver got installed

You should go to the Asus support page and look for Win 7 drivers for your motherboard. Can't post links directly to that site so you will need to go there and look around for them.

Why can't we post direct links to the ASUS dowload page for the drivers?
