Hello everyone. My first post here, thought I would..introduce myself with a question for you all.

I am looking for fan controlling software that is not Speedfan. Why? I am running Speedfan right now, and it is saying that a few of my fans are running at a lower RPM than others.

My first fan is running at 21 RPM, while my second one is running at 5424 RPM.

It doesn't sound right at all. I have checked the compatibility with Speedfan, and as it turns out, my motherboard is not supported by Speedfan, so I couldn't receive accurate results and/or adjust speeds/other options available.

Specs:
ASRock 880GHX/USB3 motherboard
AMD Phenom II x2 555 Processor, 3.20 GHz (upgrading to x6 when I can afford it)
6GB of DDR3 RAM (upgrading to 12GB within a few days)
MSI 560TI Twin Frozr graphics card

Note: I have done research and I just couldn't find an appropriate program to adjust fan speeds, that are compatible with my motherboard. And I have checked the BIOS for fan speed options, and I have two options: full, or off.

If you need any more information, please let me know.

Have you checked to see if theres a bios update for your motherboard?.

It might contain more options with regards to fan control.

Just tried to update it; I have the file on a flash drive and on my hard drive but it will not detect the BIOS file. It's strange.

(I've never flashed the BIOS before, but from what it looks like from the latest version, it does not affect fan controls or anything, all that it states from the publisher is that is updates the CPU code.)

Ok, Perhaps we need to look at other options. I'm not sure on software for fan speed control. We will need help from someone else on that. Have you ever looked into Hardware Fan Controlers?

Definitely looks cool, I'll give it that. However, I am not sure about it, in general. I know what it is supposed to do, but does it also affect case fans, or just the core fans like the CPU fan and whatnot?

It dosnt control the CPU fans. Just the 3pin case fans. Before you purchase, Id wait to see if anyone else has any input in regards to software.

I unfortunately do not have the funds for it, and I think I only have 1 3pin case fan that is in use (I have more but I had to use an adapter from 3pin to molex to give it power).

I'm looking around on newegg for some fan controllers just to regulate the fan speed and noise and such. My case sounds like a turbine right now and I just wanted to bring the noise level down.

Ok. No problem.

I recently changed my case fans with Corsair silent fans.
