Faulty P67 mobo exchange and Windows reinstall

Hey all, it's my firs post here :) So, I decided to exchange my MSI P67 motherboard because of the faulty sata port issue. They will exchange my P67A-GD65 for the same motherboard model but without this error. And the thing is - will I need a clean install of my Win7? I've heard many things about it and I'm really confused

just conect every thing up and try it... w7 might boot up ok or you might have to reinstall

Andyparks is right. There should be no problem. I had to RMA my MSI AMD motherboard. When I reinstalled the MB, windows booted up with no problems.

I recently replaced my Gigabyte board due to the Intel chipset issue. No problem. It booted right up.

I haven't heard of anyone being forced to reinstall.

All fans PWM; speeds at idle: CPU circa 500 rpm; intake circa 600 rpm; exhaust circa 600 rpm; CPU temps 27 idle and 47 C load in a warm room (27 C/81 F) when running Intel Extreme Tuning Utility stress test.
Just to help make the smile on your face a bit bigger after reading all the correct comments.

I have in the past, replaced a Tyan server motherboard with an identical one.
Hooked everything up, and it worked like a charm.:thumbsup:

finger00, i wish ALL my problems were that easily solved.:D
Now the Intel chipset has been fixed, you should get a good run out of your P67 setup.:thumbsup:
