Are you using the ATi drivers from the ASUS site or from ATi? Some OEM GPU's, especially mobile GPU's, use the driver provided by the OEM, in your case ASUS.
I am not familiar with your program either and do not know how tolerant it is of specific res from GPU to GPU I'm guessing you need to start with a recent driver from ASUS, for your motherboard and GPU then see if this changes the issue.

I have same problem. I already downloaded new drivers for my graphic card but still the same. I cannot set 1366x768 widescreen
