File Sharing

I want a software that when installed, I can go onto any other computer on the network, type the ip address followed by some numbers I'll be able to access all the files on that computer.

Are you wanting to just accesss the files on a remote PC (a share) or actually remote control that PC?

All of them aren't Windows 7 so I need some other software.

They are Windows Vista but I want some software other than homegroups that can be accessed on the network without uploading anything.

I want to use some other software, than the ones that are pre installed with windows. The type of software I want is like WiFi File transfer pro or WebSharing but they are for android. I need something for Windows.

Never used any other software for this task but a friend of mine used to use Lanshark - Lan filesharing tool
Couldn't tell you how good it is though.

It doesnt say it is compatible with 7 but it is with Vista so may work on 7

That would work just as good providing the remote machine is running an ftp server
