Can anyone please help before I go crazy, When I try to display an IMG file on a forum I am unable to do so, I have done it a hundred times before but I must have changed some setting or deleted something, the message I am getting from the forum on which I post after copying the IMG from Photobucket or Mediafire is AN INVALID FILE, probably part of the same problem when I now try to view a PPS file it opens Windows Media window and I have to open it from there by choosing P.P Viewer to open
I am 79 years of age and would really appreciate any advice you can give
Thank You
Fred

Thank you for your replies but I have been doing exactly that for years , the problem I have now is that something has changed, I have either changed something on my computer regarding file types or I have deleted something that is needed
Thank You

If I understand your problem correctly, it sounds like your file associations might have been changed. To see what program is currently specified to open a specific file type, click the Start button, and type (without parentheses) "file associations" in the search box below All Programs. Scroll down the list in the resulting screen to see what program(s) on your system is designated to open .img and .pps extensions. You can make the corrections here, if necessary. Hope this helps!

What forum is it for?

You might also contact them to see what they say in case they may have changed something.

I load my Jpeg files to an on line storage IE Photobucket, to download and show on a forum they provide a URL which includes the JPEG as an IMG file that will show on the forum website, I am beginning to think the problem may be the particular forum website, thank you for all help offered
