Normally, the left mouse button is mouse button #1 and the right button is button #2. When configured for left-handed use, the relationships are reversed.

My left button sometimes generates two clicks, making it hard to change the status of a checkbox, or ordering two items in Amazon instead of one (hence I have two Kenwood Mini Choppers, and four Lithium 14500 batteries instead of 1 and 2, respectively).

As a diagnostic, I've been asked to switch to left-handed setup. This is a brilliant diagnostic tool as it will instantly identify if the problem is with the left physical button.

Can anyone suggest something in Windows 7 (Utimate x64) that responds in a noticeable way to a double mouse button 2 click? I tried context menus in Explorer, but explorer seems to ignore the second "right" click.

The only application that I know of which explicitly supports a double-right click is IBM's Lotus Notes, but I no longer have that (and it's a lot to install for a simple mouse test)

Surely the easy way is to get a new mouse!
BTW Make sure you don't order a new Rolls Royce on Ebay!

I've bought a replacement mouse, but Logitech will send me a replacement mouse free of charge once they know the cause is hardware.

And the item I was looking at was a solitaire diamond ring for my wife, costing around £186,000.00 (on Amazon)
