I'm curious if you were able to install both softwares from the Acer site.

Getting to EgisTech is secondary IMO

EgisTech is a Godaddy registered domain.
I tried a few octet addresses, but the result was always the same

I'm not sure that I'm hitting the EgisTech address or the GoDaddy host server address

It seems a though your hosts file has the wrong address in it (unusual), your DNS cache has the wrong information in it (clear the DNS cache), or your router / ISP has the wrong address defined.

I'll look around to see if I can't figure out how to get you to the EgisTech site.​

While I'm doing that - please follow Maxie's lead.

Maxie, this is a head scratcher. The reader worked on the SSD until a reinstall. This should have cleared the database.
The reader works, but declines the finger print / password relation ship.

Firewolf, have you tried registering a different finger?

yes the drivers for acer installed ok, can't find pro shield? i ordered a recovery disc from acer will see what happen when i get it. i'll be back! thanks everyone for helping so much.i've not given up yet!almost forgot on the fingerprint i can't get passed the password page. thanks.

ok got the recovery disks from acer now this? I'm trying too do a complete install of windows 7 premium, this is the recovery disks from Acer for my computer, but it gets all the way too installing cleanup and seems to hang at 43 of 44 every once in a while it flashes the screen like its doing something and the harddrive little blue light is flashing lightly but nothing seems to happen? i've weighted almost 3 hours on it, i tried installing 3 times now how can i get it past this hangup? Or skip it? thanks

That does not seem good you may have to get in touch with Acer ... See what they say about the issue ....

On second thoughts i do not really see why you need the Acer Recovery Discs ..

A much better way would be to do a Clean Install ...

ok got it too run all the way though ,but still didn't feel quite right,so got to checking and this computer has two harddrives on it and it had put the boot on one drive and the system on the other,so I'm reinstalling again this time make sure its all on one drive. I'll let everyone know..

I think that should sort your issue ...
